A flowing-water turbine assembly 106 comprising four couplings 145a-d, 146a-d, spaced apart on the apparatus and arranged spatially so that the attitude of the apparatus 106 can be altered. The apparatus is restrained by at least two mooring lines 144; each mooring line is coupled to the apparatus by two tethers 145, 146, and each tether is coupled to a different one of the four couplings. The attitude of the assembly is altered by altering the tension in the tethers, and orientiation (attitude) is sensed by an orientation sensor. Tension may be controlled by a winch or hydraulic ram. |
