A vehicle speed control apparatus that performs a driving force limiting control for limiting a driving force of a vehicle such that a set upper limit speed is not exceeded, wherein if a cancel condition of the driving force limiting control is met under a situation in which the driving force of the vehicle is being limited due to the driving force limiting control, the vehicle speed control apparatus reduces a vehicle speed, and if the vehicle speed control apparatus detects an acceleration intention of a driver while reducing the vehicle speed, it increases the driving force of the vehicle to cancel the driving force limiting control. |
