The present disclosure relates to a method for manufacturing a semiconductor light emitting device, comprising: a step of preparing a mask having a plurality of openings on a base; a step of placing a semiconductor light emitting chip above the base exposed through each of the openings using a device transfer unit which adjusts a position on which the device will be placed by recognizing the shape of the mask; and a step of supplying a sealing material to each of the openings using the mask as a dam. Accordingly, the present invention prevents a decline in light extraction efficiency.
