An apparatus for aerating grassland comprising a frame adapted to be attached to a vehicle, a plurality of vertically arranged cutting discs mounted on the frame for forming fissures in the ground, each cutting disc mounted at a distal end of a respective cantilevered arm, each respective cantilevered arm being pivotally mounted on the frame to permit independent vertical displacement of each disc, wherein each cantilevered arm is associated with a respective biasing means acting against the respective arm to bias the respective disc mounted thereon in a downwards direction with respect to the frame. <Figure 1> |
