PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can prevent image defects when a difference occurs between the temperature inside a body of the image forming apparatus and the temperature in the vicinity of charging means, by reducing the difference in temperature.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 7 includes: a photoreceptor drum 1; a charging roller 3 that applies a charging bias to charge the photoreceptor drum 1; detection means for detecting a charging current value or a charging voltage value of the photoreceptor drum 1 resulting from the application of the charging bias; a temperature detection part 22 that detects the temperature Tm inside a body of the image forming apparatus 7; temperature recovery means for increasing the temperature at least in the vicinity of the charging roller 3; and a CPU 13 that operates the temperature recovery means on the basis of a value detected by the detection means and a temperature detected by the temperature detection part 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
