PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly drain water, by preventing freezing of water caused by defrosting.SOLUTION: An air conditioner 10 for a vehicle comprises an outdoor heat exchanger 24 arranged above a vehicle lower part (for example, a bumper and the like) provided with a drain hole. An inlet pipe connected to the outdoor heat exchanger 24 is arranged in the vicinity of the drain hole of the vehicle lower part. A high temperature and high pressure refrigerant introduced to the outdoor heat exchanger 24 from the inlet pipe in defrosting operation of the air conditioner 10 for the vehicle, defrosts the outdoor heat exchanger 24 by radiating heat to the cabin outer atmosphere. A water droplet by a condensate produced in the outdoor heat exchanger 24 drips in the vehicle lower part under the outdoor heat exchanger 24, and is accumulated on the periphery of the drain hole, and is drained to the outside from the drain hole. The refrigerant in the inlet pipe heats the periphery of the drain hole, and prevents freezing of the water accumulated on the periphery of the drain hole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
