The present invention relates to a method to manufacture a block nut by forging and the lock nut manufactured by the same, whose objective is to improve productivity by shortening a manufacturing time and to reduce production costs by mass productions, by processing a fixing groove inserted with a locking member of the lock nut not to be penetrated in order to facilitate forging. The method to manufacture the lock nut by forging of the present invention comprises: a fixed groove forming forging process of forging and forming a fixed groove which is inclined to increase a gap with a center hole along a circumferential direction from an inner surface of the center hole of a middle product along a longitudinal direction by a plastic working method by inserting a middle product processed in the nut forming process into a mold; and a tapping process of forming a female screw in the center hole of the middle product where the fixed groove is formed. The fixed groove formed in the fixed groove forming forging process is formed to only open one side without penetrating the nut, which is the middle product. |
