The present invention relates to a method to provide a specialization mode to allow a user to easily execute a function related to a specified date, and an electronic device. The method comprises: an operation of detecting whether the present data corresponds to the specified date; an operation of changing the mode of the electronic device into a specialization mode related to the specified data when the present data corresponds to the specified date; and an operation of displaying a home screen of the changed specification mode.
