PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection device capable of appropriately developing an air bag module.SOLUTION: An occupant protection device which is provided with an air-bag module on a car body lateral part and, upon collision of a vehicle, develops the air-bag module includes: a window regulator which opens and closes a window glass on the car body lateral part; a position calculation part which calculates relative position information between the vehicle and a collision object; a speed difference calculation part which calculates a moving speed difference between the vehicle and the collision object based on a transition of the position information; a contact portion estimation part which estimates a contact portion of the vehicle for the collision object based on the transition of the position information; a rotation behavior estimation part which estimates a rotation behavior of the vehicle due to collision based on the moving speed difference and the contact portion; and a window control part which controls a window regulator based on the rotation behavior.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
