PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a sulfate radical modified basic aluminum chloride aqueous solution which is an aqueous solution of sulfate radical modified basic aluminum chloride with coexistence of sulfate radical, can exhibit excellent cohesiveness and is stored stably without precipitation separation with status of solution.SOLUTION: A method includes preparing an aqueous solution of basic aluminum sulfate obtained by a reaction of aluminum sulfate and sodium aluminate, mixing the aqueous solution of basic aluminum sulfate and a basic aluminum chloride aqueous solution, adding an aqueous slurry of calcium carbonate so that the Ca amount in terms of CaO becomes the amount of 30 to 45 pts.mass per 100 pts.mass of S total amount in terms of SO, then aging for 1 hours or more at a temperature of 50°C or less under stirring and then separating by product gypsum with filtration.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
