The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a volumetric filament and an infrared ray lamp having the volumetric filament. The present invention includes a quartz tube having a light emitting space; a volumetric filament which is located in the light emitting space of the quartz tube, has a shape of a hollow body having a penetration hole, and includes silicon carbide; and terminal units which are connected to both ends of the volumetric filament, respectively and are located at both ends of the quartz to be connected to an external power supply line. According to the present invention, the amount of an infrared ray emitted to a drying object is increased. Current consumption is reduced. Also, it is minimized that the filament droops when the infrared ray is generated. |
