PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster with a brake having a structure to obtain brake force by bringing a brake shoe (a side face part of a brake ring) into pressure contact with a proper place of a wheel.SOLUTION: An advancing/retracting pin 5, which moves vertically, is provided in a shaft member 3 in a penetrating state and is supported by an elastic body 14 in an upward direction at all times. Slide parts 6, 7, which are driven in back and forth directions of a wheel 4 by the vertical movement of the advancing/retracting pin 5, are provided below the shaft member 3. A pair of brake rings 8, 9, which is brought into pressure contact with the wheel 4 or released from the pressure contact in conjunction with the movement of the slide parts 6, 7, is provided in the slide parts 6, 7, respectively. The brake rings 8, 9 are biased in an opening/closing direction by the elastic body 14. A lower end part 5b of the advancing/retracting pin 5 is formed on an inclined surface having an angle to open and close the slide parts 6, 7. A reception part 16, in which the lower end part 5b of the advancing/retracting pin 5 is fitted, is formed in a portion where the slide parts 6, 7 face each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
