PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device which can stabilize an expansion and development direction of an airbag.SOLUTION: A side airbag device S provided between a vehicle body 2 and a rear seat 1 is equipped with: a base storage part 24 for storing an airbag 10 and an inflator 11; a webbing 70 for guiding a development direction of the airbag 10; a webbing engagement groove 27 for squeezing an engagement member 73 which is present at the other end 72 of the webbing 70; and a retainer member 30 which holds the base storage part 24 and the webbing engagement groove 27 from the rear side of the vehicle body. The engagement member 73 is squeezed in such a manner that a part of the engagement member is expanded from the webbing engagement groove 27, and the expanded part so extends as to be brought into contact with the retainer member 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
