PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection device with high reliability, which can restrain lower limbs of passengers having physique differences with an inexpensive, light, and simple structure.SOLUTION: A vehicular passenger protection device comprises: an upper reception member 4 disposed at a position to receive a lower limb of a passenger, whose upper end part is attached to brackets 1; a lower reception member 6 disposed at a lower position of the upper reception member 4, whose lower end part is attached to the brackets 1; a plurality of upper ribs 11 arranged side by side on the front face side of the upper reception member 4 while protruding toward the brackets 1 in front; and a plurality of lower ribs 12 arranged side by side on the front face side of the lower reception member 6 while protruding toward the brackets 1 in front. The front lower parts of the upper ribs 11 and the front upper parts of the lower ribs 12 are disposed alternately while partially overlapping in a side view.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
