PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark plug for an internal combustion engine that can enhance ignitability.SOLUTION: A spark plug 1 has a cylindrical housing 2, a cylindrical insulator 3 held in the housing 2, a center electrode 4 which is held in the insulator 3 so that a tip portion 41 thereof protrudes, a ground electrode 5 which forms a spark discharge gap G between the ground electrode 5 and the center electrode, and an erection portion 6 with a step which has an air-flow introducing step portion 62 at at least one side surface 61 facing the peripheral direction of the plug, and erects from the tip portion 21 of the housing 2 to the tip side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
