PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic clutch for avoiding a possibility of fastening even if a slip occurs between a rotor and an armature plate, and in which a temperature fuse is positively melted down.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an electromagnetic clutch 1 comprising a rotor 4; an armature plate 5 oppositely faced against this rotor 4; an exciting coil 3 stored in the rotor 4 to generate an attracting force to cause the armature plate 5 to be sucked against the rotor 4; and a temperature fuse 15 arranged at the exciting coil side rather than a side end surface of the rotor 4 to shut off electrical energization for the exciting coil 3 when the temperature exceeds a prescribed temperature and a side end surface 4b of the rotor 4 is provided with an outer side magnetic shutting-off part 21 and an inner side magnetic shutting-off part 22, the armature plate 5 is provided with an intermediate magnetic shutting-off part 23 at a position between the outer side magnetic shutting-off part 21 and the inner side magnetic shutting-off part 22, the side end surface 4b is formed with an annular groove 25 to include the inner side magnetic shutting-off part 22, and a friction member 26 protruded from the side end surface 4b is arranged at this annular groove 25.
