The present invention relates to a structure of a mixed flow impeller having airfoil cambered plate type backward twisted blades. More specifically, the mixed flow impeller comprises a main plate which has a swash plate inclined at a sweep back angle (&thgr;), and airfoil cambered plate type backward twisted blades which are formed between the inclined main plate and a side plate in order to vary an angle of incidence of the blades according to the radius of the impeller by making the angle of incidence become large near the main plate of the impeller and making the angle of incidence become small near the side plate of the impeller so that a fluid can flow smoothly without an eddy between the blades when the impeller rotates and a discharge direction at an outlet of the impeller can be changed from a radial direction to an axial direction, thereby greatly enhancing performance of a blower by increasing operation efficiency of the impeller because flow energy can be used effectively, being used in an axial flow type mixed flow fan, reducing losses by naturally changing the discharge direction into the axial direction due to a smooth flow in a blade path of the impeller when applied so as to enhance efficiency of the axial flow type mixed flow fan and change an operating point, and reducing noise from the impeller by improving a flow in the blade path of the impeller. |
