PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device which prevents a lubrication oil from leaking from a breather chamber to an external part while securing a sufficient amount of the lubrication oil in a transfer case and reduces driving loss caused by a transfer mechanism agitating the lubrication oil.SOLUTION: A transfer case 52 has a division wall 90, which divides an internal part of the transfer case 52 into an oil sump chamber 93 disposed at a bottom part of the transfer case 52 and configured to store a lubrication oil and a transfer mechanism chamber 95 disposed on the oil sump chamber 93, housing a transfer mechanism 51, and communicating with a breather chamber 100, in an area below the transfer mechanism 51. Further, the division wall 90 has a lubrication oil communication hole 94 which allows the transfer mechanism chamber 95 to communicate with the oil sump chamber 93.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
