PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method which exhibit excellent evenness of a coating film surface in coating both surfaces of a web with a coating liquid, and high productivity in mass production.SOLUTION: A coating device 1 includes: inlet side support means 4, a first coating die 10 which coats a first main surface of the web 100 with a first coating liquid; and a second coating die 20 which coats a second main surface of the web 100 with a second coating liquid in order in which a travelling web 100 passes. The dies 10, 20 are arranged so that a web conveyance path in a section from a position where the travelling web 100 separates from the inlet side support means 4 to a position of facing to a discharge port 21 of the second coating die 20 is most separated in either of a position of facing to a discharge port 11 of the first coating die 10 or a position of facing to the discharge port 21 of the second coating die 20 with respect to a virtual conveyance path 200 to be passed by the web 100 when the coating dies 10, 20 do not exist.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
