PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology advantageous for accurate exposure control for a region to be examined.SOLUTION: A radiation detection device includes a radiation detection part having a plurality of sensors for detecting a radiation ray and a signal processing part for processing a signal detected by the plurality of sensors. The signal processing part divides the signal detected by the plurality of sensors into a plurality of classes based on the signal value so as to generate a plurality of images corresponding to each of the plurality of classes. One image is selected from the plurality of images based on the similarity between each of at least a part of the images of the plurality of images and a reference image, the sensor that detects a signal composing the selected one image is determined as a monitoring sensor, and the irradiation of the radiation ray is monitored based on the signal detected by the monitoring sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
