<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable inductor capable of suppressing a loss of power and drastically changing its inductance value. <P>SOLUTION: A variable inductor comprises more than two ring cores 11, 12 in which magnetic gaps G1, G2 are formed in a part of a circular ring structure of a magnetic body. Their edge faces are butted to each other and the ring cores 11, 12 are installed in a case 20 as capable of making relative rotation in a direction that a positional relationship between the magnetic gaps G1, G2 is shifted to a circumferential direction. The positional relationship between the magnetic gaps G1, G2 is shifted to the circumferential direction by relatively rotating the ring cores 11, 12, and magnetic leakage fluxes in the magnetic gaps G1, G2 are coupled with magnetic gaps or edge faces having no magnetic gaps of corresponding cores 12, 11, respectively. Therefore effects of the magnetic gaps G1, G2 decay, magnetic saturation of the ring cores 11, 12 change and the inductance can be variably set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
