PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate insertion of coils by a lap winding method with respect to a stator.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a rotary electric machine includes the following steps of: sequentially disposing a plurality of coils from the coil held by holding means in one direction in a state where the holding means capable of holding end portions of one sides of the plurality of coils at midway positions of comb teeth is mounted onto separation bodies having a plurality of comb teeth having gaps inserted with the coils and being disposed into a circular-arc shape; disposing the individual coils by a lap winding method by disposing the coils not held by the holding means disposed on the other separation bodies below the coils held by the holding means mounted onto one separation bodies out of the separation bodies adjacent to one another while combining two separation bodies or more disposed with the coils and circularly disposing the individual comb teeth; inserting the coils disposed on jigs into slots of a stator in a lap wound state; and combining the stator inserted with the coils and a rotor corresponding to the stator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
