PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner capable of suppressing a reduction in blowing performance even when a diameter dimension of a cross-flow fan is increased.SOLUTION: An indoor unit of an air conditioner comprises: an indoor unit main body section installed on an indoor wall surface; an air suction port and an air blowout port provided to the indoor unit main body section; a ventilation flue provided inside the indoor unit main body section and causing the air suction port and the air blowout port to communicate with each other; a cross-flow fan blowing so as to suck indoor air from the air suction port and blow out the indoor air from the air blowout port by rotating in the ventilation flue; and a plurality of vertical wind direction plates changing a direction in a vertical direction of the air blown out from the air blowout port by rotationally moving in the vertical direction at the air blowout port. A rotary shaft of the vertical wind direction plate closest to a wall surface side is provided closer to the wall surface side than a rotational shaft of the cross-flow fan, and an end portion of the wall surface side is moved into the air blowout port in association with downward rotational movement thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
