PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grit chamber that includes a grit discharge device capable of efficiently discharging, grit accumulated on a chamber bottom, from the grit chamber without dispersing the grit upward in water.SOLUTION: A grit discharge device 12 installed in a grit chamber 11 includes: a plurality of grit collecting pipes 13 that are arranged along a chamber bottom toward the side of the other end of the grit chamber from the side of one end thereof; an injection nozzle 14 that emits a jet of grit collecting water toward the side of the other end from the side of one end into the grit collecting pipes; a grit pumping pipe 15 that is connected to the other-end side end of the grit collecting pipe: and a grit collecting water supply path 16 that supplies the grit collecting water to the injection nozzle. A grid suction port opened toward the chamber bottom is provided on the lower side of a peripheral wall of the grit collecting pipe.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
