PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an occurrence of an injury of an entrance of a side branch tubular organ, when a medical apparatus is inserted into the side branch tubular organ through an introduction assist instrument and provide substantial backup force.SOLUTION: An introduction assist instrument 11 comprises a tubular body 13 that extends along a center axis to be inserted into an introduction tubular organ. The tubular body 13 includes a distal part 21, a body part 23, and a backup provision part 25 provided between the distal part 21 and the body part 23 and including a single or a plurality of bending parts 25a and 25b. One of the single and multiple bending parts 25a and 25b includes a side hole 27, and a medical apparatus can be inserted, via the side hole 27, into the side branch tubular organ branched from the introduction tubular organ. Further, at least one of the single or multiple bending parts 25a and 25b is formed to produce a contact part that comes into contact with an inner wall of the introduction tubular organ, when the tubular body 13 is inserted into the introduction tubular organ.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
