PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition excellent in mechanical characteristics, heat resistance, abrasion resistance, shrinkage resistance, and flexibility and to provide a flame-retardant article including a flame-retardant resin molded body produced by molding the flame-retardant resin composition.SOLUTION: The flame-retardant resin composition contains: 100 pts.mass of (A) a thermoplastic resin comprising 32-80 mass% of (a) an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer having a density of 0.900 to 0.950 g/cm, 10-50 mass% of (b) a polyolefin resin having a flexural modulus of less than 100 MPa, and 5-18 mass% of (c) a polypropylene resin; and 50-250 pts.mass of (B) a metal hydrate, in which a part of the ethylene/α-olefin copolymer (a) or the whole or a part of the polyolefin resin (b) is acid-modified. The flame-retardant article includes a flame-retardant resin molded body produced by molding the flame-retardant resin composition and then crosslinking by irradiation with an electron beam. The acid-modified resin of the polyolefin resin (b) is an acid-modified styrene elastomer. |
