PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preceding vehicle pass support device which can support pass of a preceding vehicle more properly.SOLUTION: A controller (5) sets plural pass point candidates on a target route. Then the controller (5) estimates a position of a preceding vehicle after an estimated arrival time, using a current position of the preceding vehicle, a speed of the preceding vehicle, and the estimated arrival time, to each of the plural pass point candidates. Then the controller (5) estimates a position of a vehicle which precedes to the preceding vehicle, after an estimated arrival time, using a current position of the vehicle which precedes to the preceding vehicle, and probability distribution of a speed of the vehicle which precedes to the preceding vehicle after the estimated arrival time. Then, the controller (5) uses the position of the preceding vehicle after the estimated arrival time, and the position of the vehicle which precedes to the preceding vehicle after the estimated arrival time, to set the pass point candidates in which a distance between the preceding vehicle and the vehicle which precedes to the preceding vehicle after the estimated arrival time is equal to or more than a predetermined distance, as a pass point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
