PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for knitting footwear that includes a heel part formed without using flechage knitting, regardless of including or not including a movable sinker device.SOLUTION: A well-known set-up is performed while being in parallel to a needle bed about two tubular knitted fabrics 1a, 1b, and then the knitting of a new knit stitch is repeated while reciprocating yarn feeders 8, 9 in two tubular knitted fabrics. Successively, the second tubular knitted fabric 1b is moved to the left side, and double stitches 2f, 2b with an end knit stitch of the first tubular knitted fabric 1a are formed in a knitting needle F of FB and a knitting needle f of BB, respectively, and then the knitting of a third tubular knitted fabric 1c is performed. Double stitches 3f, 3b are formed to reduce a cylindrical diameter, and new knit stitches are knitted in stitch rows including the double stitches. The junction position by the reducing knitting becomes a foot back side, and a knit stitch is connected in the wale direction as a design line 6 for a heel side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
