PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector for a flat type conductor that can easily be manufactured by bending a metal plate and can maintain a stable lock fitting state at a closed position and simply release the lock.SOLUTION: A turning member 3 and a connector body 2 have a locked portion 33D-1 and a lock portion 76, and are locked to each other at a close position of the turning member. The turning member 3 has a base portion 35 provided with a bearing target portion, a movable portion 33 provided with the locked portion 33D-1 and an operating portion 33A, and an elastic portion 34X that joins the base portion and the movable portion so as to be elastically deformable in the front-and-rear direction. The base portion and the movable portion are relatively movable in the front-and-rear direction by the elastic deformation of the elastic portion 34X. A locked piece 33D and the lock portion 76 of the connector body interfere with each other by turning the turning member to the close position, and also can be locked to each other by further turning the turning member to the closed position side.
