PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generator that obtains high energy efficiency by stably supplying a product gas containing hydrogen even when the temperature of air used for combustion in a burner of the hydrogen generator is significantly changed in accordance with a change in the air temperature outside the device, and recovering the heat of flue gas.SOLUTION: In a hydrogen generator comprising a burner 4 burning fuel gas, a flue gas passage 17 through which flue gas from the burner 4 flows, a water evaporation part 8 located outside the flue gas passage 17 and connected to a reforming catalyst layer 9, a conversion catalyst layer 10 which is located outside the water evaporation part 8 and into which reformed gas from the reforming catalyst layer 9 flows, and a selective oxidation catalyst layer 11 which is located outside the water evaporation part 8 and into which converted gas from the conversion catalyst layer 10 flows, a heat transfer enhancement wall 22 is installed on a part of an air passage 2, through which air to the burner 4 flows, excluding the vicinity of the conversion catalyst layer 10 and the selective oxidation catalyst layer 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
