PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which performs suitable backlight correction on data of an entire-celestial-sphere image including plural light sources.SOLUTION: The image processing system which processes the data of the entire-celestial-sphere image including the plural light sources comprises: luminance calculation means which calculates luminance information from inputted entire-celestial-sphere image data; light source detection means which detects the positions of the light sources from the luminance information; backlight detection means which detects a backlight area from the positions of the light sources; and backlight correction means which corrects brightness of the backlight area of the entire-celestial-sphere image data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
