PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the outline of an image in printed matter without changing the image quality of the image from the image quality of the original image.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 comprises a print data acquisition section, a pixel type determination section 3313, and a density adjustment section 333. The print data acquisition section acquires an image in printed matter as image data. The pixel type determination section 3313 determines whether or not a black dot included in the image data is an outline dot representing the outline of the image. Further, the pixel type determination section 3313 determines whether or not a black dot adjacent to the outline dot is present when the black dot is determined to be an outline dot. The density adjustment section 333 makes the print density of the black dot determined to be an outline dot larger than the print density of other black dots when a black dot adjacent to the outline dot is determined to be present.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11A |
