PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sudden sound suppressor capable of suppressing influences on the sound quality to the minimum by instantaneously following the sudden sound included in an input sound signal to suppress the same.SOLUTION: The sudden sound suppressor is intended to suppress sudden sound components which are generated when, for example, a vehicle passes on a joint provided to an express highway or bridge. The sudden sound suppressor includes: a first processing section that generates a front suppression signal for each frequency which has a blind spot in front of the device based on an input sound signal which is obtained by capturing ambient sounds by at least two microphones; and a second processing section that generates a suppression coefficient which has a magnitude relation opposite to the magnitude relation in the level of the generated front suppression signal for each frequency, and applies the suppress coefficient to suppress the sudden sound included in the input sound signal for each frequency.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
