摘要 A semiconductor device including an integrator circuit, in which electric discharge from a capacitor can be reduced to shorten time required for charging the capacitor in the case where supply of power supply voltage is stopped and restarted, and a method for driving the semiconductor device are provided. One embodiment has a structure in which a transistor with small off-state current is electrically connected in series to a capacitor in an integrator circuit. Further, in one embodiment of the present invention, a transistor with small off-state current is electrically connected in series to a capacitor in an integrator circuit; the transistor is on in a period during which power supply voltage is supplied; and the transistor is off in a period during which supply of the power supply voltage is stopped.

A semiconductor device comprising: a differential amplifier comprising a first transistor, a channel formation region of the first transistor comprising silicon; an insulating film over the differential amplifier; a second transistor over the insulating film, a channel formation region of the second transistor comprising an oxide semiconductor; and a capacitor over the insulating film, a first electrode of the capacitor being electrically connected to one of a source and a drain of the second transistor, wherein the other of the source and the drain of the second transistor is electrically connected to one of an inverting input terminal and an output terminal of the differential amplifier, and wherein a second electrode of the capacitor is electrically connected to the other of the inverting input terminal and the output terminal of the differential amplifier.
