PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that manuka oil of essential oil cannot be dissolved in water and therefore has a restriction in formulation design in an external preparation composition.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to: (1) an external preparation composition comprising a microemulsion liquid of manuka oil; and (2) the external preparation composition described in (1) in which the microemulsion liquid of manuka oil is 0.001-100 mass%.
