PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data output regulation device for three-dimensional molding, which can accurately regulate an output of a polygonal model without requiring human judgement.SOLUTION: The data output regulation device includes: a regulated model database 50 where regulated models are registered; polygon reduction means 10 for reducing the number of polygons in a target model; polygon normalization means 20 for creating a normalized target model by moving the target model having reduced polygons so as to locate a reference point of the target model at the origin of three-dimensional coordinates, extracting an orientation of a polygon as a main axis candidate, the polygon included within a range from the maximum distance of the polygons from the reference point to a distance reduced from the maximum distance, selecting one main axis satisfying specific conditions from the extracted main axis candidates, adjusting scales to give a predetermined length to the main axis, and rotating the target model to align the main axis to the Z-axis; and polygon model reference means 30 for referring the normalized target model to regulated models in the regulated model database to judge whether the output of data is appropriate or not.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
