<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polycyclic aromatic compound having a halogen atom capable of producing a polycyclic aromatic compound at low cost of a raw material and at a high yield, and also refining it easily. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing a polycyclic aromatic compound has a step of reacting a specific aromatic boron compound with a specific aromatic compound having a halogen atom and an anionic leaving group in the presence of a solvent, a base and a 0.0001-1 mol% metal-containing compound with respect to the amount of a less compound, based on mole, out of the compounds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
