PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection system capable of precisely detecting a position of a mobile unit.SOLUTION: A detection device 11 transmits a position determination signal L11 by means of radio at a predetermined output level. A detection controller 2 controls the detection device 11 to simply increase or reduce the output level of the position determination signal L11. When receiving the position determination signal L11 by means of radio, a mobile unit 1 detects reception period length of the position determination signal 11. A position determination unit 6 that transmits a response signal R11 including the reception period length determines a position of the mobile unit 1 from the detection device 11 based on the reception period length included in the response signal R11. |
