1. A process for improving the flow rate of an aqueous dispersion comprising:
(a) adding a natural polymer having a molecular weight of about 5,000 to about 40,000,0000 and a PDI of from about 1.0 to about 10.0 to the aqueous dispersion, and (b) then adding a synthetic polymer having a molecular weight of about 500,000 to about 25,000,000 to the aqueous dispersion, wherein the natural polymer and the synthetic polymer are added in a weight ratio of about 4:1 to about 1:4 in an amount effective to increase the flow rate of the aqueous dispersion; wherein the total solids of the aqueous dispersion is from about 25 g/liter to about 2.00 g/liter and comprises an ore containing phosphate, copper, gold, gangue or other minerals; and wherein the yield stress of the aqueous dispersion is reduced by at least 25% after addition of the natural and synthetic polymers. |
