A method and a system for calculating a labview-based Q-factor applying an optimal linear section extraction algorithm are provided. The system according to the present invention may include: an elastic wave data input unit inputting data acquisition variables, data on acquired standards and a comparative medium, and retrieving the input data to a program; a muting unit selecting only required data from the elastic wave data; a frequency analysis unit performing a frequency analysis of the elastic wave data selected only required data, and selecting a first section for selecting an optimal linear range using the frequency analysis result; an optimal linear range selecting unit selecting an optimal linear range within the selected first section; and a Q-factor calculating unit calculating a Q-factor value, using the calculating result of the optimal linear range.
