[Problem] To provide an aqueous ink for inkjet recording, which realizes excellent ink ejection properties, tinctorial strength, and image fastness. [Means for Resolution] An ink containing a pigment dispersion containing A and B, and an aqueous medium: A: an azo pigment represented by the following formula (1) and having at least one characteristic peak at Bragg angles (20) of 5 to 15° and 20 to 30° in X-ray diffraction with characteristic Cu K.alpha. line; and B: a vinyl polymer containing a hydrophobic structural unit (a) and a hydrophilic structural unit (c).
