<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bead core that can be reduced in weight while securing sufficient rotational stiffness and strength, and to provide a pneumatic tire having a light bead part with high durability. <P>SOLUTION: The bead core for a tire comprises an annular body formed by using a metallic plate body. The annular body has a layered structure which are obtained by layering the plate bodies in the thickness direction of the plate body. A cross section in the width direction of the plate body has an aspect ratio (long side/short side) of 3 to 60. The pneumatic tire uses the bead core. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
