<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording head able to obtain high frequency magnetic field strength and effective recording magnetic field strength in micro wave assist recording used for an oscillator that generates a high frequency magnetic field. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic recording head according to the present invention comprises: the oscillator having a high frequency magnetic field generating layer for applying a high frequency magnetic field to a magnetic recording medium; and a trailing shield provided on the trailing side of a main magnetic pole. The distance between the high frequency magnetic field generating layer and the main magnetic pole and the distance between the high frequency magnetic field generating layer and the trailing shield are both 3 mm or longer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
