PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer which can save the memory capacity of a hand image storage part without a dedicated image processing part for rotation processing of a hand image.SOLUTION: A tape printer comprises: a vertical-horizontal conversion part which can execute vertical-horizontal processing for rotating a character image so that the orientation of the character image to be printed on a tape is switched between the horizontal orientation and the vertical orientation; a print part which prints the character image on the tape; a time acquisition part which acquires the time to be displayed on a hand image constituting an analog timepiece image being the character image; and a hand image storage part which stores a basic minute hand image Bb2 being a portion of a plurality of minute hand images B2 having different angles in accordance with the time. The vertical-horizontal conversion part creates the minute hand image B2 displaying the acquisition time by executing the vertical-horizontal processing to the basic minute hand image Bb2 when the minute hand image B2 displaying the acquisition time acquired by the time acquisition part is not included in the basic minute hand image Bb2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
