PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing quality by mending a problem of heat gradient in an AOM (acousto-optic modulator) to suppress a thermal lens action of the AOM, in laser processing.SOLUTION: Laser processing equipment includes: a first control part that controls an acousto-optic modulator so that a specified period portion of a received laser pulse can branch off into a first direction for use in processing; and a second control part that controls the acousto-optic modulator so that a portion, except the specified period portion, of the laser pulse can branch off into a second direction for nonuse in the processing and having a branch angle larger than the first direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
