PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dullness improving agent for the skin or lips.SOLUTION: The invention relates to an agent for reducing desmoglein in a horny layer cell, the agent containing astaxanthin as an active ingredient. When applying the agent to the skin having an unarranged skin surface form, the desmoglein in the horny layer cell decreases, epidermis turnover can be improved, and the area of horny layer cells can be also decreased. Therefore, the agent can be used in the prevention, treatment, and improvement of the dullness of the skin or lips.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
