PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device that is able to push out an article to a placing area from a placing table while keeping a state optimum to the article.SOLUTION: A transfer device 100 moves claws 103, provided on a movable part 110, forward from the first position P1 of a placing table 120 to a second position P2 further forward than the first position, and thereby pushes an article on the placing table into a placing area out of the placing table. The transfer device comprises: a controller 108 that controls the operation of the movable part; and a position detecting part 105 provided on the placing table and configured to detect the position of the rear end of the article on the placing table. The controller exerts control such that (i) the claws are moved at a first speed from the first position to a position a predetermined distance behind from the position of the rear end, (ii) the claws are moved at a second speed lower than the first speed at the position of the rear end, and (iii) after abutting on the rear end of the article, the claws are moved to the second position at a third speed higher than the second speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
