PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing expandable composite resin particles from which there can be obtained an expandable composite resin molding having excellent flame resistance, little residual styrenic monomer, a high rate of fusion of the expandable particles with each other, and high rigidity.SOLUTION: Nuclear particles obtained by kneading a polyolefin-based resin and a flame-retardant (A) comprising a brominated butadiene-styrene-based copolymer are dispersed in an aqueous medium. Subsequently, composite resin particles are obtained by adding a predetermined amount of styrenic monomer in the aqueous medium and polymerizing the styrenic monomer while impregnating the nuclear particles with the styrenic monomer or after the impregnation. In this process, a styrenic monomer, in which a specific amount of a specific flame-retardant (B) is dissolved, is added into the aqueous medium.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
