<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply, rapidly, accurately and objectively discriminating easiness of pressing and crushing a solid food product with a tongue, and furthermore, to provide a method for simply, rapidly, accurately and objectively discriminating easiness of pressing and crushing a solid food product even with the tongue of a person who has a little masticatory strength or an infant. <P>SOLUTION: A method for evaluating easiness of pressing and crushing a solid food product with a tongue includes the steps of: overlapping and arranging a rubber-like elastic body having a compression stress of 2.0×103 Pa to 2.0×104 Pa at a compressive strain of 20% and a sample of the solid food product; integrally compressing the rubber-like elastic body and the sample of the solid food product in the overlapping direction of them; and determining a relationship between the degree of total compression of the rubber-like elastic body and the sample of the solid food product and the presence/absence of destruction of the sample of the solid food product. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
