The present invention relates to a lightweight clay tile. The clay tile is manufactured by a basis material combined by 50-70 wt% of clay, and 30-50 wt% of fly ash. During the plasticizing of the clay tile, carbon component inside the fly ash is combusted, thus enabling the manufacture of lightweight clay tile due to the reduced weight of clay tile. During the plasticizing process of the clay tile, carbon inside the fly ash is combusted to contribute to the manufacture of the lightweight clay. The materials remaining after the combustion of clay maintain the same chemical ratio to the clay, thereby preventing the reduction of strength. Therefore, without adding components for complementing the reduction of strength, the existing strength can be maintained. Moreover, due to the heat generated by the combustion of fly ash during the plasticizing process, fuel consumption in the plasticizing process can be reduced, which leads to the cost-reducing effect for the manufacture of clay tile. |
